This Privacy Policy explains how Smeasy Ads (“Smeasy Ads,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website (smeasyads.com), our mobile application, and related services (together, the “Service”). Smeasy Ads is a service that helps small local businesses set up and manage Google Ads campaigns through the official Google Ads API.

We have tried to write this policy in plain language. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@smeasyads.com and we will explain.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

Account information — your name, email address, and login credentials when you create a Smeasy Ads account.
Business information — details you provide about your business, such as its name, category, location or service area, website, hours, offers, and advertising goals. We use this to build and manage your ad campaigns.
Communications — messages you send us, such as support emails.

Information collected automatically

Usage data — basic information about how you use the app (such as features used and actions taken) so we can operate, debug, and improve the Service.
Device data — standard technical information such as device type, operating system version, and app version.

Our website does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts.

Information from Google (with your authorization)

If you connect your Google account to Smeasy Ads, we receive information from Google APIs as described in the next section. This access is granted by you through Google’s OAuth consent process and can be revoked by you at any time.

2. Google API Services and Google user data

Smeasy Ads manages Google Ads campaigns on your behalf. To do this, you authorize us — via Google’s standard OAuth consent flow — to access your Google Ads account through the Google Ads API. This section describes exactly how we handle data received from Google APIs.

Limited Use disclosure. Smeasy Ads’ use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What we access

Your basic Google account profile (name and email address) to identify you and link your Smeasy Ads account to your Google account.
Your Google Ads account data — campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, budgets, settings, and performance metrics — via the Google Ads API.

How we use that access

To create, configure, and manage advertising campaigns in your Google Ads account on your behalf, according to the settings and budget you choose.
To monitor and adjust those campaigns within the guardrails of our advertising playbook.
To report performance back to you in the app in plain language.

What we do not do with Google user data

We do not sell Google user data.
We do not transfer Google user data to third parties, except as necessary to provide and improve the user-facing features of the Service (for example, our cloud hosting provider), to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with prior notice to you.
We do not use Google user data for advertising purposes of our own, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles about you.
We do not allow humans to read this data, except (a) with your explicit consent, for example when you ask our support team to look at a specific issue; (b) as necessary for security purposes, such as investigating abuse; (c) to comply with applicable law; or (d) after the data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.
We do not access, view, or handle the billing or payment details of your Google Ads account. Your ad spend is billed by Google directly to your own account and payment method; Smeasy Ads never touches it.

Revoking access

You can revoke Smeasy Ads’ access to your Google account at any time from your Google account’s security settings (under third-party apps and services), or by contacting us at hello@smeasyads.com. Revoking access stops our ability to manage your campaigns; campaigns already in your account remain yours and under your control.

3. How we use information

To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
To set up, manage, and report on your ad campaigns as described above.
To respond to your requests and provide customer support.
To improve the Service, including debugging and developing features.
To send you service-related communications (such as important account or policy updates).
To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. How we share information

We share information only in these limited circumstances:

Service providers — vendors who help us operate the Service (for example, cloud hosting and subscription-management providers), bound by obligations to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us.
Google — by the nature of the Service, campaign settings and business details you provide are used to create and manage campaigns in your own Google Ads account, subject to Google’s own terms and privacy policy.
Legal requirements — if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Smeasy Ads, our users, or others.
Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you before your personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you close your account, or upon your request, we delete or anonymize your personal information and data obtained from Google APIs within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.

To request deletion of your account and data, email hello@smeasyads.com. Note that your Google Ads account and its campaigns belong to you and remain in your Google account regardless of what happens to your Smeasy Ads account.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit, secure storage of OAuth tokens, and access controls that limit which systems and personnel can access user data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, and loss.

7. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for business use by adults. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when this policy was last revised.
